Simply put, bioclimatic air purification units consist of one high-voltage source and special ionization tubes. These tubes are supplied with high voltage which ionizes the oxygen molecules (O2) in the air via a corona discharge and splits them. As a result they dissociate into two oxygen atoms. At that moment these oxygen atoms are especially reactive. In contrast to oxygen molecules oxygen atoms immediately oxidize all available oxidizable materials and this chemical reaction damages the cell structure of microorganisms: viruses, mold spores, bacteria, osmogenes, organic pollutants etc. The oxygen ion content of the air increases.
These units are particularly suited to remove odors, bacteria, mold spores etc.
