History
From an engineering office to a nationally important company in three decades
The engineer Hans Krüger, a man with a strong pioneering spirit and many talents, laid the founding stone in 1931 for a company which is still based on his original idea today. With his air humidifiers for radiator heating he ensured a healthier living environment and more comfort. Krüger has remained true to this founding idea all this time. In context with these products there was soon a need for reliable humidity and temperature measuring devices. The sales programme was therefore extended to the appropriate devices and continually expanded. In the course of time air humidifiers, air purifiers, air conditioning units and tumble dryers were also added to the range.
A second innovation from the company founder, the use of air humidifiers for building and material drying was also groundbreaking. With the strong increase in building activity in the years after the war, this sector developed into a primary element of the company. Simultaneously to this development a diverse production and service company arose from a formerly purely trading company.
In the 80s a completely new drying concept was brought onto the market with the Secomat tumble dryer. At the beginning it was laughed at but today the condensation dryer has become a standard in Swiss drying rooms according to the Secomat principle.
Even in the water damages drying sector, Krüger was and is a crucial motivational force for efficient and gentle sanitation. If water damage can be repaired for a fraction of the cost today, we have the numerous innovative ideas of the Krüger engineers to thank for that.
